Dr Susan Bentu call on plateau citizens to shone rumours and appreciate good work Dr Susan stated this in an interview with some journalist in Shendam while monitoring the fumigation exercise in the entire southern zone where they flag off the fumigation of southern zone she said ASTC is a professional body that meet all international standard both in agriculture and fumigation etc they have work both in and outside the state and of all standard they don’t compromise in terms of quality the chemicals they use go through medical and scientific specification.
According to her before the combined mix chemicals the have a chemical pathology and other professionals bodies like NESREA, NAFDAC, Ministry of Health, that monitor what they do all this is done to ensure the right chemicals are mix and also hazard free and not harmful to human, also she shared more lights on the way the operate, Dr Susan said all their staffs both parminent and casual staffs go through various degree’s of training depending on the field they are employed for and she said on the issues people saying the workers don’t know what they are spraying she said professionally they are not supposed to know reason being that they don’t mix the chemicals they have experts that do that and more also the chemicals are not harmful to them.
Dr Susan also said plateau state government have over 80% percent of the share of ASTC and the foreign company owns the rest of the percentage so how can they compromise the standard of a company almost solely owned by the government is impossible so people rather than criticizing should appreciate the good work ASTC is doing and also the government for a wonderful idea of using ASTC to fumigate the state instead of bringing some Company else where.
Dr Susan said before they embark of this work the governor gave specification for a good and quality work to be done as he want the entire state fumigated according to her governor Lalong don’t compromise on good and quality work and plateau State belongs to all of us and a Covid-19 free plateau is what they all look up to so people should support this government to succeed in the fight against covid-19 and she also said the chemical potency last for hours when spray in when is raining so there is no cause for alarm.
