Following sucessful completion of election litigations against the member house of representative for Pankshin, Kanke/Kanam PKK federal Constituency in Plateau state, Hon Yusuf Babayo Gagdi, a group has urge the Legislator to concentrate on qualitative legislations.

The national secretary “Young Politicians Awareness Forum YPAF Mr. Yakubu Paul, gave the charge Tuesday, while in a press chat in Jos.

According to Mr. Paul within the short period of assumption of office as a federal law maker, Gagdi has changed the political narratives in his consituency.

Mr Paul described Hon Gagdi as a “Messiah” to his constituents, stressed that “with the advent of Hon Gagdi, the usual religious, tribalism ethnicity and political bigotries has varnished in the constituency.”

“His (Hon Gagdi) bills and motions he sponsored on the floor of the house of representatives are clearly defining our present day Nigeria.”

He urge the Lawmaker to work towards unity of Plateau citizens.

“The political climate on the Plateau has been tense for quite sometime especially in Panshin, Kanke and Kanam federal consituency where religious and tribes were major players of bigotory untill when Rt. Hon Gagdi arrived and changed the political narrative where emphasis is now placed only on human qualitative leadership, accountability and transparency.”

Secretary YPAF expressed optimism that the former deputy speaker of the Plateau state house assembly, during the 8th assembly, with his experience, the Lawmaker will perform better than his counterparts across Nigeria.

He therefore tasked the national assembly member, Hon Gagdi to be a detribalized Nigerian.

“Nigerian legislature represents an estimated figure of 180 million Nigerians ethnic nationalisties and two most dominance religions which have over the years taking the center stage of our political arena in Nigeria.”

According to him, the Plateau Lawmaker has been advocate better laws that will help in assist greatly in building the nation beyond a mere geopolitical zone but the nation as a whole.

Mr. Paul urged other federal law makers to emulate Gagdi in making Nigeria great where religion, tribes and political differences will not form the basis.

He call on other PKK constituent’s to support Hon Gagdi “people who lost hope and confidence in government long term before now shoud support him, irrespective of Political party.”
